How about this? We had an extra gift of $2000.00 given unexpectedly last month. We considered this found money, so instead of just letting it go into our bank account and paying for regular old expenses, we decided to set this money aside to fund CONTACT.
See I believe that part of church leadership is being able to discern what God is active in, and do it along with him. A surfer doesn't concern him/herself with generating the waves. They just try to get in position to ride the wave. That's how I feel about CONTACT. CONTACT is something that God is doing and blessing. We just need to ride the wave as far as we can.
Last night the oversight board of SRC approved this new fund. I'm so glad. I can't wait for Friday.
