Education

Someone asked yesterday where I was with my Grad work. I thought I'd mention it on here. I am taking a class this fall, and writing my contextualized project. That will leave my thesis for January, and I'll be done in May. I do not plan on walking in graduation, because I would have to travel to Springfield, MO. And I'd be walking with a bunch of people that I don't know. There is no meaning for that for me.

Education in my future?
Well, if I could find a way to fund it I would like to expand my disciplines to include a degree from Johns Hopkins in Communication and Business Administration. (The MBA only because they offer a dual track, and the subject's leadership applications intrigue me.) I feel that at the completion of that program then I could get a bearing for what type of doctoral degree I would pursue, if any.

I don't have an aspiration that dictates a degree, in that I'm not planning to teach at the collegiate level. But I believe in preparation, (see article) and I believe that each step of preparation opens doors that would not otherwise open. So, we'll see what the future holds, but that is what I'm looking at.
