I talked with my Operations Team last night. We have now given out right at 1000 door hangers. Tonight will put us over that. And one of these weeks, someone is going to walk into SRC because they got an invitation.
Personal invitation is always the strongest for response. That means that for every thousand door hangers we'll get a certain response, but we have a much higher chance of someone coming through personal invitation of a friend.
I'm looking forward to it so much. I have a growing anticipation that someone is going to come check us out. It's like when you know someone is coming over to your house. You know how you start to clean up and get stuff ready? There is an excitement and an anxiety, but definately anticipation.
I was telling Rob and Alma last night that I hope so much for that to happen this week at Church, but I'm going to be away, so it kinda stinks that I won't get to see it if it does. But here's the thing, CONTACT has been such a bigger effort than just me, so it shouldn't matter. If someone comes because of our invites this week, it'll be a fitting response to the work that so many SRCers are doing through volunteering.
Thanks guys!
