Favorite Scripture

One of the disciplines of following Christ is the study of the Bible. We read it, memorize it, meditate on it, and study it. It is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in what is right. And if you spend much time with the scripture you'll inevitably develop favorite passages.

My favorite verse comes from Matthew 11:19b. Jesus said, "But wisdom is proven right in her action."

Having the wisdom to figure solutions is pointless if you don't take a step of action. Until you have acted on the way of wisdom it is not wisdom at all.

I was meditating on this scripture today and thought I'd share it.

Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
