Running With A Companion

This morning I changed up my run. I took a break from the podcast I usually listen to of a guy who tells me when to run and walk, and changes the music (techno), and today I listened to a sermon by Doug Clay. Now, I know most people would avoid listening to a sermon if they didn't have to, but I'm not most people. I want to get closer to Christ, know more about Him, and live my life differently because of it. He actually had a horribly disjointed message, but some of the things he touched on were challenging.

  • In the Luke 19 story of Jesus and Zacheaus. Jesus spoke to Z and knew his name. We're never told how he knew it, but he did. (Similar to knowing about the disciples before he met them.) Jesus knows your name.
  • Jesus knew where Z was. At the tree he stopped and turned to speak to Z. Jesus knows where you are.
Just a couple thoughts that stuck out to me.
