Does anyone really look forward to conflict? Even the people that are good at it? I think for the majority of our society conflict doesn't rank high. One thing I love about our Operations team is the role of conflict. Without conflict we wouldn't move forward. So long as we deal with the conflict well, it is a catalyst to growth, not a bur under our saddle, but a spur to our sides.
Weekly we debrief about issues that come up weekly and forecast for the future. I think one of our most value assets is conflict between members when we say, this should be or shouldn't be, scrap it or redesign it. I'm glad to be on a team where we can work together in conflict. I also appreciate that conflict only drives our decisions, our action is driven by cooperation.
