It has been a while since I had a 12 hour work day. They happened weekly for me at my last church, but I haven't had to do them much as a church planter yet. Yesterday was one of those days though that I tasted the long day. I actually enjoyed it. I love the stress and pressure of moving from one to appointment to the next. I eat it up. But I have learned something over the last six months. I value time with my family more. That's why though I had a great day yesterday, I was a little disappointed because I ended up with only 45 minutes of time with my daughter. So, no steady diet of long days for me.
