I received an email from a former student that used to attend my youth group. He has found himself at the end of a number of bad decisions and has reached out for help. I pray that the help I offer will be deeply life-changing. I included a scripture and thought I'd share it here as well. I pray it would be helpful to each of use to bring encouragement.
Deuteronomy 31:8, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." (NIV)
I also read it in The Message, a wonderful contemporary version of scripture, and it reads as follows, "God is striding ahead of you. He's right there with you. He won't let you down; he won't leave you. Don't be intimidated. Don't worry."
Get closer to Him, because he's close to you.
