Summer arrived this week, and with it a I’m enjoying a new office.
You may not know that with our new baby coming we needed to reclaim the room that I was using in order to provide space for both my little girls.
So I moved out and am now in a little more mobile office.
I have set up in my patio enclosure.
More on that will be available on my blog later this week.
As the first Sunday of summer we have a great weekend planned. Sunday we have the privilege of hosting Ashley Chandler, missionary to NYC. Ashley will be working with an organization called World Team. Their mission in New York is to reach international students in American Universities. The philosophy is if you touch the campus you reach the world.
We are one of the very early stops for her among the many that it will take to raise the funds she needs for this opportunity. We can identify, because it was only a year ago that we were telling people about our vision and asking for their support. We look forward to hosting someone who is following God like we do.

Just this past week in Belgium I was talking to a guy who saw my nametag and asked if, by chance, I was related to Ben Rainey. I said "Yes, two of them." He said, "I mean the one who pastors Severn River Church." So I told him that yes, he is my brother. He then told me that Severn River Church supports him (John and Shawn Alderman) in Belgium, and I was thrilled to hear that, although a little confused as to why SRC supports someone I've never heard of, and not me :)

Yup, The Aldermans were the first missionaries that SRC Picked up. They needed our $100.00 a month. At that time, you didn't. We're looking forward to giving you your shot this Fall.
