The following notes are the minutes of our last meeting. They are uneditted. We'll not mark off for spelling errors or typos. There are some interesting insights here about the team that God is bringing together to start this church.
SRC Leadership Meeting
5-30-06
Matt Boyer – Phone Conference:
Laurie and I are preparing for a mission trip with their current church to Peru
Raised over $3K for the trip which equates for God’s provision.
God will provide all we need for SRC-this 3K reaffirms it.
Prayer:
i. House options, Praying and waiting
ii. Will be talking to neighbors: 1. about the house 2. share their faith and hearts for ministry.
Closing prayer by Ben:
i. Thank you God for being with all of us.
ii. Bless Matt/Laurie
iii. Strengthen all of Lord

Michelle: waiting to find my spot in the group
Ben: optimist extreme
Corrie: not so soft spoken/I love to sleep
Jessica: not good with words, but I like to hug
Joe: not a Saturday morning person
Jen: annoyed with people who have no common sense
Janet: fact I am a smoker and want to quit
Drew: Blunt person, don’t believe in sugar coating talks
Kevin: Enjoy professional wrestling
Christine: Perfectionist and try not to impose those standards on others.

iii. Dream to teach, have a family, and kids

i. Catholic home and went to church once a month
ii. Accepted Christ 1 year ago

i. Mom and I began to go to church at 6th grade
ii. Jen has helped me become more accepting

ii. God has showed His mercy through 20 surgeries

ii. Fighting/drinking in the house while growing up
iii. 5 yrs ago on Easter service God changed me after going to the alter

i. Grew up in a Non-Christian family
ii. Religion is based on faith and I have to believe in it first

i. Grew up in a Non-Christian family
ii. Moved out when she was 18
iii. At age 4 Shelby asked about God which started bringing us together as a family.

Thanks for posting these minutes. It is neat to see a brief synopsis of each person's journey. I'm excited for the journey that we are taking together from here forward! It will be cool to look back two or three years from now and re-tell the story of SRC.
