Cellphone vs. The Bible

Someone sent me a forwarded e-mail, though you know how I despise them. While writing a (soon to be posted) paper, I was in need of a reprieve so I opened this. It was a short thought and (as I want a little longer reprieve) I thought I'd post it for your thought-provocation.

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our Cell Phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive "text" messages?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?

Dramatic Makeover

If I ever send you a forward...shoot me.

I have to agree with you about the forwards. Although this short blurb may make a good point, it is rendered ineffective for me merely by the fact that it came to you as a forward.

I like the pic though. It makes me laugh.

And as far as the forward retribution goes, be careful what you ask for... I'm wanted in nine states for exacting revenge on people for unwanted forwards.
