I was invited to speak at Bethel Assembly of God church this morning. I was glad to carry the message of SRC to another church. They have made a commitment to be involved in financially supporting a church plant this year, and we were the church they picked. I'm so thankful for the way pastor Caris treated my family and me. We had a really good morning. The people of Bethel gave a $300.00 offering, and will be making a decision about what they'll do ongoing.
Meanwhile, I went over and helped set up this morning at SRC. It really was fun just to be there without the usual stress of a Sunday of singing and preaching. I'm so thankful for the volunteers who made it possible. Special kudos to Rob, who's done a great job of hosting the services when I've been away. Also special thanks to my sister Ariel Rainey, who hosted our missionary this morning.
Finally, thanks to Mike Henningsen. Mike is a missionary that we need on the field much more than we want him at home. ;-) I think the work that he is going to be doing is great. Mike I hope that things go well for you. We sent Mike $1000.00 a couple months ago as a one time gift. I'm looking forward to when we can support him monthly.
