Last night I got to enjoy dinner with new friends. The Novicks are missionaries to France who work with the production and distribution of the Sharif Bible. The Sharif Bible, while not the only Arabic translation, is the only translation that is designed for evangelism among the Arab Muslims of the middle east and North Africa. They're mission is the distribution of the Sharif Bible at trade shows, book sales, and distribution through Arabs. Their vision is that the Bible would be distributed so that God's word would be in place when a world-wide revival turns the hearts of Muslims toward Jesus. 1/5 of the worlds population is Muslim.
