As a dog returns to his vomit,
so a fool returns to his folly.
--Proverbs 26:11

This verse came to me during my devoted time to God this morning. My thought?

"I am that fool."
--Ben 1:1

Are you?

I can remember Mr. Bandy preaching a chapel message on this verse, talking about taking a group of kids on a field trip to a zoo. The kids spent at least 40 minutes watching monkeys eating their faeces, saying how gross it was, but yet they were obsessed with watching it. He made the comparison that as gross as it is, we always go right back to our sin, because its in our nature. Of course, that's where the need for a Savior is most obvious.

I once preached on Ben's favorite verse; "Be sure your sin will find you...",Numbers 32:23, and pointed out that "your sin" is particular to you and is where you are most weak, easily "returned to".
