i like 2 and 7. I like the road coming out of the triangle, but I think that 2 looks more "s" shaped (particularly the top). I think I like the flat color of the S in 7, though (without the shading). But hey, just my thoughts.
I'd consider keeping the graphic separate from the text - that way you can use them independently in the future. relying on the "river S" to spell out Severn will always tie you to the combined graphic.
I agree with Ariel - I like the color of 7 and the shape of 2. I also think that b4d6uy is right about the combined graphic & words. I'd keep them separate.

I like logo 6, and then logo 5. And a short comment on logo 1 - it was just a test, i kinda liked the font, so I wanted to see how it would look.

I'm a fan of five! I like the "S" looking more like an "S" and I like the size and shape of the additional text.
