Small group went really well last night. I was hapy to be part of one again. It felt great having 4 couples together to talk about God's word and share experiences. I was happy with the level of transparency. For the first time some of them met, they were very transparent.
Small groups are so important to the way we become like Christ. I will never be without a small group for the rest of my life. It is that critical to my spiritual growth. I believe it is the biblical scenario for discipleship.
The reason is because of waiting together. Community, Transformation, and Leadership Development doesn't happen like a microwave. We have to be slow cooked.

"We have to be slow cooked."
Slow cooking is how you do lesser cuts of meat that would otherwise be tough. Reason being that the slow cooking, lower temperature, no pressure method breaks down the natural "binding" in the meat making it more tender than other methods.
Breaking down our "binding" and making us more tender is a good thing.
Information provided about slow cooking comes from a man who chews on his beard...:-)
Love it!
